Orthodontic treatment can be successful at any age, and adults especially appreciate the benefits of a beautiful smile. One of every five patients in orthodontic treatment is over 21.
Adult orthodontics can range anywhere from limited treatment with a removable appliance to Invisalign treatment with clear aligners to full upper and lower braces on all the teeth. Adults may have existing dental work in place or be in need of new restorations. Moreover, some may have experienced breakdown or loss of their teeth and supporting bone structure and may require periodontal treatment before, during, and/or after orthodontic treatment.
